If you’re planning to Zero Out Reset your Treo 650 and you already have the 1.13 update installed, then make sure that you flash firmware 1.13 afterwards again. Otherwise your Treo 650 will report firmware 1.13 just fine but many applications will refuse to work. So the correct procedure on the Mac is:
1. Move the backup of your Treo’s data out of ~/Documents/Palm/Users/<yourname> to someplace safe.
2. Set the iSync Conduit’s option to disabled using Palm Desktop
3. Zero Out Reset your Treo 650
4. Flash Firmware 1.13
5. Again, move the new backup directory that was created during the sync operation needed for flashing Firmware 1.13 out of the way
6. Re-enable the iSync Conduit
7. Do a Hotsync to get your Contacts and other stuff back onto the Treo 650
8. Open up a beer or any other drink of your choice and celebrate that you’re finished with this PITA.
